The great singer Francesco Stephen Castelluccio was born in New Mark, New Jersey on May 3, 1934, he grew up with his parents, who were very supportive and caring. Her father, Anthony Castelluccio, was a hairdresser and designer, while her mother was a homemaker and also worked for a brewery.

Frankie is of Italian descent and he holds American citizenship, during his childhood he developed an interest in becoming a singer after listening to an artist named Frank Sinatra perform in New York.

The young man also received a qualitative education which contributed to his successes today.

Professional career

The talented singer began his singing career in the early 50s with the group called Variety Trio. During this time of his humble beginnings, Valli had always wanted to sing in public and that dream started to come true when he got the opportunity to perform as a guest artist for Variety Trio.

Before Valli was always in the band, he would work very hard on his own, listen to some of his favorite singers at home, and then practice what he heard. However, the great singer does not have Valli as a name, but he understood that he needed a stage name. Frankie later changed his last name, Castelluccio, to “Valley” and eventually to “Valli”.

Unfortunately for the future singer, his band Variety Trio disbanded in 1952, but the star and Tommy DeVito went to join a house music group at The Strand, New Jersey, New Jersey.

However, Frankie released his first single, ‘My Mother’s Eyes’, in 1953. Soon after, Valli and Tommy DeVito left the house band at The Strand to form a band called ‘The Variatones’, which included Hank Majewski, Frank Cattone and Billy. Thompson.

The 4 Seasons

In 1956 the group name Variatones was changed to The Four Lovers and they recorded several albums. Two years later, in 1958, Nickie DeVito and Hank Majewski left and they were replaced by Nick Macioci and Hugh Garrity. The group continued to perform until 1959, when Bob Gaudio became a member.

After some time, the group changed its name and is now called “Les 4 saisons”. According to them, the name was inspired by a lounge bar where the band auditioned in 1960.

During the 60s, the group was one of the most popular pop singers. Their songs have long dominated the American music chart and they have produced many songs.

New Jersey Boys

Frank Valli earned his recognitionachievements with the group called New Jersey Boys, an award-winning music group in 2005. The Jersey Boys have traveled the world in various traveling exhibitions. In 2014, the band produced a song which was also adapted into a film directed by Clint Eastwood.

For his immeasurable commitment to his band and its rock and roll music, Valli was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and also earned a spot in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.
