Linda Kozlowski was born on January 7, 1958 in Fairfield, Connecticut. His parents, Stanley and Helen Kozlowski, are of Polish descent. Kozlowski grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut and attended Andrew Warde High School, Fairfield. She graduated from high school in 1976.

Kozlowski’s stage debut was in How It All Began, an off-Broadway production that ran between 1981 and 1982. In 1984, she played Miss Forsythe in the Broadway show, Death of a Salesman. She later played the same role in the film version of Death of a Salesman the following year.

She became a movie star due to her leading female role in 1986’s Crocodile Dundee, opposite co-star Paul Hogan. In Crocodile Dundee, she played the role of Sue Charlton, a journalist from New York who travels to Australia to meet Mick Dundee, a legendary bushman, and she is very fascinated that she brings him back to New York.

She also starred in the 1988 sequel Crocodile Dundee II and the 2001 sequel Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. In 1988, she starred in Pass the Ammo with Annie Potts, Bill and Tim Curry as co-stars.
