Dying Light patch 1.5 was released on March 10th 2015 for all platforms. Hard Mode Information

Once you start the game from the “Play Campaign” option, you can choose your difficulty level on a previously saved games or on a new one. Some of the features of Hard Mode are described bellow:
  • Nights are more challenging. They last twice as long.
  • Volatiles do not show on the mini map.
  • Enemies are stronger and harder to kill.
  • Noise attracts more virals.
  • Rais’ men get to airdrops sooner than before.
  • Melee combat requires greater precision.
  • Energy regenerates at a much slower rate.
  • Medkits heal over time.
  • There are no more hints.
  • Going to the inventory doesn’t pause the game anymore.
  • Use of survival senses is limited to drop weapons and volatiles.
  • New Outfits

    Two of them, Punk and Bully, are given as a reward for completing the game on normal mode. Completing the game on hard mode gives you Trick-or-Treater and Zombie Wannabe outfits. There are also 15 new National Outfits with flag colors on the t-shirt.

    New And Gold Rarity Weapons

    More than 50 new weapons have been added. While many of them are sold by vendors, you can also find them in the open, inside chests and etc. Some of them, like Dark Machete, have unique (glowing) markings on them.
