Nanty Glo man who died in crash identified

BLACKLICK TOWNSHIP – A 33-year-old Nanty Glo man who died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night has been identified as Joshua Reesey.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said Monday an autopsy revealed that Reesey died of blunt force trauma.

The manner of death was ruled accidental.

Lees said toxicology tests are pending.

State police in Ebensburg said Reesey crashed into a tree in the 1400 block of Beulah Road in Blacklick Township at approximately 11:20 p.m Sunday.

State police said Reesey left the scene of a domestic disturbance and was pursued by a marked Nanty Glo Borough police unit.

A police report said Reesey was driving east on Beulah Road when he drove off the roadway striking a tree head-on.

According to the report, the vehicle then slid into an embankment.

Reesey was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Joseph Hribar.

State police said weather conditions at the time of the crash were clear and the road was dry.
