Upper Darby police say one man is dead and three other people were injured in a shooting Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the shooters targeted a luncheon for a man who was killed Thursday night in Clifton Heights.

"When I see something like this, I feel saddened about our community."

Officials say between 50 to 100 people were in attendance.

“Everyone that was on location here was coming out of that venue. Of course, they were running. they were scared.”

Police believe the shooting was in retaliation for last week’s killing in which 25-year-old Birchett Lamont King is accused of murdering his uncle, 39-year-old James Ford.

King has since been taken into custody.

Now the search is on for the suspects in this latest shooting.

“Right now, it looks like were looking for a dark colored Chevy Malibu. From the video, we can depict two people, one male getting out and firing into the venue. We have multiple shell casings up there."

People in the community say they are fed up with the gun violence.

“I’m really at a loss for words. My heart truly goes out to the family and to the parents for the young people that were killed because I’m still dealing with the loss of my son from gun violence."
