“We are a proud supporter of Spectrum for Living and its mission to help all members of our community,” said Kevin J. Lynch, president of the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation and chairman, president and chief executive officer of Oritani Bank.
“It is important to offer support, up-to-date facilities and premium care to those who are disabled, which is why we felt it was important to award Spectrum for Living this grant,” he continued.
The grant proceeds will be provided toward Spectrum for Living’s Companionship Program, which ensures that a trained staff member familiar with the Spectrum client is available to provide support and advocacy during times of special need and accommodation.
“Spectrum for Living is grateful for all the support that the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation has provided for our unique Companionship Program over the years,” said Mark Michelson, chief executive officer of Spectrum for Living.
“The program, as witnessed firsthand by our friends at Oritani, is vital to Spectrum for Living. The funding allows us to provide 24/7 coverage to our residents during times of hospitalization, family functions including weddings, or during stressful times such as a funeral,” Michelson continued.
Founded in 1983, Spectrum for Living provides a wide array of housing, medical, clinical, social and educational services to more than 200 residential consumers and hundreds of community clients.
