AL Roker has proven that it's easy being green, as he showed off in a green velvet suit while holiday shopping in New York.

The Today show weatherman recently took a bite out of the Big Apple while packing on the PDA during a date with his wife.

Al was spotted in Manhattan on a shopping spree.

The 63-year-old smiled as he walked down the street, holding large bags in each hand.

It's not clear how much money he spent, but he was certainly tossing a different kind of green with his outfit.

Al rocked an all-green ensemble, made up of a velvet green jacket and pants, along with a green V-neck sweater underneath.

He topped it all with a sharp green fedora.

The only flashes of color he did have were from his brown loafers, a white dress shirt and a red button on his lapel.

Even his tie was a shade of green.

He smiled broadly as he walked down the street.

DATE NIGHT

Al has had plenty of things to smile about, including the aftermath of a recent date night in the city.

Al's wife, Deborah Roberts, shared a photo from their special night out on her Instagram stories.

The 63-year-old was seen kissing Al's cheek while clad in a yellow and tan plaid wool overcoat.

She paired it with bright yellow pants and black peep-toe heels.

Her hair fell in loose waves around her face as she leaned in to Al and rested her hand on his shoulder.

Al, on the other hand, wore a tan striped suit with a matching hat.

He looked off to his right with a whimsical expression on his face.

He kept his hand in his jacket pocket.

"Holidays in NYC," Deborah captioned the photo.

Several lit Christmas trees and decorations could be seen in the background.

The pair often make time for date nights in the form of dinners out and events they attend together.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Al has shown a flair for green before, including in a wild throwback video taken during the start of his NBC career.

Earlier this week,  the beloved weatherman celebrated his 45th anniversary with the television network.

Al was joined by Today hosts Craig MelvinSavannah GuthrieHoda Kotb, and Sheinelle Jones to commemorate the important career milestone.

After a meager attempt to flee the emotional moment, getting pulled back to the couch by Craig, Savannah told Al: "Time flies when you're having fun.

"We are celebrating something big today Mr. Roker. Your 45th anniversary with NBC."

She continued: "It started in 1978 to his 27 years with Today," Savannah started to get choked up as she added: "Al, my friend, you are the beating heart of this show."

Hoda then chirped: "The heart and the soul," before breaking down "Al's anniversary by the numbers."

A graphic displayed that the fan-favorite meteorologist has racked up 7,047 wake-ups at 3:45 am, 27 Thanksgiving Day parades, and 13 Olympics over the length of his accomplished career.

Later, Craig cued up a throwback video of Al jokingly interviewing penguins while reporting from The Metropark Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio.

Al joked: "Look away," as he was shown sporting late-70s fashion that included an era-appropriate green flat cap and a seafoam blazer.

In the video, he began his report by telling viewers: "These King Penguins are really smart."

"Not only do they have all three television stations and both newspapers trained to come out whenever they go for a walk, they don't even have to take their tuxes home in the morning."
